Law Firm Website Design in Ireland

Websites for firms with several solicitors, practice areas or offices. A firm's site has to do more than look professional. It has to give every department a page that can rank, every solicitor a profile that builds trust, every office a presence in local search, and turn all of that into enquiries, on a phone, in under three seconds. That is what we build, kept inside the LSRA rules and GDPR. If you are a sole practitioner or a small practice, our website design for solicitors page is written for you.

The problem

Most firm websites are a brochure with a team page, and Google cannot rank a brochure

The typical Irish law firm site has a homepage, an about page, one services page that lists every practice area in a column, a team page with headshots, and a contact form. It looks respectable. It ranks for the firm's name and nothing else, because Google can only rank a page for what that page is about, and a page about nine things is about nothing.

Meanwhile the site is slow on a phone, the solicitor profiles are two lines and a photo, the second office is a line in the footer, and the form goes to an inbox nobody checks at five on a Friday.

A law firm website is an architecture first and a design second. One page per practice area, one profile per solicitor, one page per office, and the structure that ties them together.

Signs the current site is holding the firm back

  • Every practice area shares one page
  • Solicitor profiles that say almost nothing
  • An office that does not exist as far as Google is concerned
  • Slow to load on a phone, which is where clients are
  • A redesign in the past that lost rankings and nobody knows why
  • Nobody in the firm can update it without a developer
Your guide

Firm websites built by people who have shipped hundreds of them

SolicitorDigital.ie is led by Casey Meraz, founder of Juris Digital, one of the most recognised legal marketing firms in the United States. Juris Digital has built and rebuilt websites for more than 250 law firms, many with several offices and a dozen practice areas, and every one of them had to rank and convert in the most competitive legal market there is.

Casey has lived in Kinsale, Co. Cork for over six years and runs SolicitorDigital.ie through Ethical Digital Marketing Limited. You get a firm website built to a US standard, by someone who knows the Law Society, the LSRA rules and how Irish clients actually choose a solicitor. Read more about Casey.

What we build

What a law firm website actually needs

The design matters. What matters more is the structure underneath it, because that is what decides whether each department ranks and whether visitors become enquiries.

Practice area architecture

A page for every practice area and sub pages for the work inside it, each written to rank for the searches clients actually make and to answer their first questions. This is the single biggest difference between a firm site that ranks and one that does not.

Solicitor profiles that carry weight

Qualifications, admissions, practice areas, notable work, memberships and links to the articles each solicitor has written. Google looks for evidence that real experts stand behind legal content, and referrals look up the person before they ring.

A page for every office

Each office gets its own page with address, hours, directions, the solicitors based there and the work it handles, tied to its own Google Business Profile, so every office can be found in its own local search.

Fast, mobile first, secure

Most clients arrive on a phone. We build to pass Core Web Vitals, load in well under three seconds on mobile, run on HTTPS and stay fast as the site grows to hundreds of pages.

Built to convert, and measured

Clear calls to action on every page, short forms, click to call, and tracking on calls and forms tied into GA4 so the firm can see which department each enquiry came from and what it cost.

Compliant and owned by you

LSRA compliant copy, GDPR compliant forms and cookie consent, accessibility built in, and a content management system your staff can use. The domain, hosting and site belong to the firm, and we hand over the keys at launch.

Redesigning an existing site

A redesign should raise your rankings, not reset them

The most expensive mistake in law firm web design is a beautiful new site that launches and quietly loses the rankings the old one had, because the pages that ranked were deleted or moved without redirects. We have taken over enough of those to know exactly how it happens.

Every rebuild we do starts with a map of what already ranks. Those pages are kept or improved, every old address is redirected to its new home, and Search Console is checked before and after launch. Done properly, a redesign usually improves rankings because the structure gets better.

What our migration process covers

  • Inventory of every existing page and what it ranks for
  • Redirect map from every old address to its new one
  • Practice area and profile content kept or rewritten, never dropped
  • Analytics, call tracking and Search Console carried across
  • Launch checks on speed, indexing and forms
  • A follow up review of rankings in the weeks after launch

How it works

From teardown to launch and beyond

A firm website involves a lot of people. We run the process so it does not stall on approvals.

1

Free website teardown

We review the current site for speed, structure, solicitor profiles, office presence, conversion and compliance, and show you what is costing the firm enquiries. You get it whether you work with us or not.

2

Architecture and content plan

We map every practice area, solicitor and office to a page, decide what is kept, rewritten or new, and agree who in the firm signs off on what. The partners approve the plan and a fixed quote before design starts.

3

Design, build, migrate

Design that fits the firm, a fast build on a CMS your staff can use, content reviewed for LSRA compliance, and a redirect map that carries every existing ranking across.

4

Launch, hand over, support

Launch checks on speed, indexing, forms and tracking, a handover of every login, training for your team, and ongoing support or a full law firm SEO programme if you want the site to keep climbing.

Built for Irish firms

A website that stays inside the LSRA rules and GDPR

A law firm website is advertising under the Legal Services Regulatory Authority rules and the Solicitors Advertising Regulations. Everything on it has to be truthful, professional and not misleading, with particular restrictions around personal injury work. On a firm site with dozens of pages and several authors, that needs a review step, not good intentions.

We build the check into the process, and we handle GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 properly: compliant forms and privacy notices, cookie consent that meets Irish standards, and secure handling of the enquiries the site collects.

Compliance areas we cover

  • LSRA advertising restrictions, including personal injury
  • Truthful, non misleading claims and outcome language
  • Proper disclaimers and regulatory information
  • GDPR compliant forms, privacy notice and data handling
  • Cookie consent that meets Irish standards
  • Accessibility for clients who need it
You focus on practising law. We handle the website and keep it compliant, end to end.
Worth considering

A firm website does not have to be English only

Ireland's Polish, Romanian, Lithuanian, Portuguese and Spanish speaking communities search for solicitors in their own languages, and almost every Irish law firm website is English only. For a firm with the right practice areas, adding properly translated pages in the languages your clients speak is one of the few uncontested opportunities left in Irish legal search. We explain the gap and how to close it in our note on multilingual websites for Irish solicitors.

FAQ

Law firm website design, common questions

How much does a law firm website cost in Ireland?
It depends on how many practice areas, solicitors and offices the site has to carry, and whether content is being written or migrated. A firm site with forty practice area pages, twelve profiles and two office pages is a different build from a five page brochure. Indicative figures are on our pricing page and you get a fixed quote after your free website teardown.
How long does a law firm website take to build?
Typically 6 to 12 weeks for a firm site, depending on how much content is new, how many people need to approve it and how quickly the firm can supply profile details and photographs. The content and approvals, not the build, are usually what set the timeline.
Will we lose our Google rankings if we redesign the website?
Not if the migration is done properly, and this is where most law firm redesigns go wrong. We map every existing page to its new address, set the redirects, keep the pages that already rank, and check Search Console before and after launch. A redesign done well usually improves rankings because the structure gets better.
Do we own the website?
Yes. The domain, the hosting account, the site and its content belong to the firm, and we hand over the logins at launch. If you ever leave, you take the site with you. We would rather earn the relationship than hold the keys to it.
Can our staff update the site themselves?
Yes. We build on a content management system your team can use to add a solicitor, publish an article or update office hours without calling a developer, and we show them how. For firms that would rather not touch it, we offer ongoing support and content publishing.
Do you build multilingual law firm websites?
Yes. Ireland's Polish, Romanian, Lithuanian, Portuguese and Spanish speaking communities search for solicitors in their own languages, and almost every Irish law firm website is English only. We can build the site so key practice areas are available in the languages your clients actually speak, properly translated and correctly marked up for search. See our note on multilingual websites.
Is a law firm website subject to the LSRA advertising rules?
Yes. A website is advertising under the Legal Services Regulatory Authority rules and the Solicitors Advertising Regulations, so everything on it has to be truthful, professional and not misleading, with particular care around personal injury work. We build every page to those standards and we handle GDPR, cookie consent and secure handling of enquiries as part of the build.
What makes a law firm website different from a solicitor's website?
Scale and structure. A sole practitioner's site needs a few strong pages. A firm's site needs an architecture: a page for every practice area and the work inside it, a profile for every solicitor, a page for every office, and internal links that hold it together so each department can rank and each office can be found. Our website design for solicitors page covers the first job. This page covers the second.
